Third Children's House to Open |

Amy Mackie-Barr, new Head of School for South Suburban Montessori School, Brecksville, Ohio has announced plans to add a third Children's House to their community beginning August, 2007. The Children's House program is for 3 to 6 year olds. Classes are five days a week from either 8:45 am to 11:45 am, 8:45 am to 3:15 pm, or from 8:45 am to 6:00 pm. Early drop-off and aftercare are also available. Established in 1970, South Suburban Montessori School has grown to be one of the best and most recognized Montessori schools in the area. All teachers are certified and trained by either the American Montessori Society or the Association Montessori Internationale. Ms. Barr is also pleased to announce that with the addition of another Children's House, comes the development of an Elementary wing to their community. The Elementary wing will consist of the existing Lower and Upper elementary classes for children 6 to 12 years old. South Suburban Montessori School has played a vital role in educating children within southwestern Cuyahoga County for over 30 years. This announcement also comes at a time when the Montessori worldwide community is celebrating their centennial. The Montessori Method of education was developed by Maria Montessori in San Lorenzo, Italy, in 1907 and has become recognized in all countries as a champion for the cause of all children. |
