John Bovenzi began his construction career by remodeling older homes. When John's sister wanted to build a house in the early 1980s, John suggested, "Why don't we build it ourselves?" The results were not only a lovingly crafted home, but also the founding of Dream Builders, Inc. We met with co-owners Mike and John Bovenzi recently, and listened as they described their company, the services they offer, and their talent for turning dreams into reality;
Dream Builders, Inc. is a family owned and operated building company. We specialize in custom built homes, in addition to interior remodeling projects such as finishing basements. Due to our dedication to quality, our family takes a hands-on approach to the building process and actively participates in the actual interior construction of the homes we build. We do the flooring, trim, fireplaces, granite work, and installation of the built-in cabinetry and counters. We've custom-built homes in the Homestead and Summerwood developments, throughout Broadview Heights, Brecksville, and North Royalton, and we're presently building homes on lots we have available in Richfield.
As a close-knit family organization, we're not encumbered with the high overhead that comes from having a fancy office, sales people, and secretaries. You'll immediately notice the difference between our homes and those built by other homebuilders. Not only do we offer our customers a lot more than other builders for a very similar price, but by being on-site to do the work ourselves our quality surpasses what you'll find elsewhere.
When customers go to an architect before the builder, they typically end up with the plans for a home that is out of their price range. They have a bill from the architect for thousands of dollars and don't know what to do with the blueprint because they can't afford to build the house. In contrast, the way the building process starts at Dream Builders, Inc. is that a customer will come in with an idea or a picture of a house that they like. At our initial meeting, we'll develop a "wish list" of everything the customer wants in their new home. From this list, we design a floor plan at no cost and propose a price based on the requirements of that plan. Once we've developed a floor plan and a price that are within our customer's budget, then we'll take the plan to one of the very best architects in the city of Cleveland to have the blueprints drawn. We've established a win-win situation by enabling our customers to establish the affordability of their dream home without any initial costs.
Our customers are delighted that they can reach us at any time. When we're not in the office, we have our calls forwarded to our cell phones. Instead of having them answered by office staff, we want to answer the phone ourselves. When a customer wants to ask a question, they have the peace of mind that comes from knowing they'll get us right away.
